Happy Friday, y’all!
Am I the only one who feels like 2018 is slipping through my fingers? Another week has come and gone, and I cannot believe it’s almost March. Holy smokes!
If you read my newest recipe post, Golden Cauliflower with Honey & Tumeric, you know that I started a new job last week. I have been patiently (well, I’ve been trying my best) waiting, praying, and hoping for the right opportunity to begin personal training again. Of course, per usual, the Lord showed up in a huge way. My dream job plopped right into my lap. Over the past week, I’ve been adjusting to my new schedule and learning to find balance between working, fitness training and healthy living, being a wife, maintaining relationships/friendships, and everything else in day-to-day life. It’s definitely an adjustment, but most certainly a blessed one.
One of my biggest life challenges is finding the time to prioritize my health and fitness, and I know I’m not the only one. Speaking from personal experience and my past experience as a personal trainer, this is something that almost everyone struggles with. Life is busy. No matter the stage of life you’re in, whether you’re a student, new graduate, spouse or parent, etc, it’s easy to continue making excuses. Time is limited and it often feels like there are not enough hours in the day. So, how are we supposed to prioritize taking care of ourselves?
If I could give one piece of advice to anyone wanting to live a healthier lifestyle, it’s this:
Plan. Ahead.
Planning ahead gives us the opportunity to take care of our minds and bodies, without sacrificing other priorities. And, because I’m so passionate about living my best, healthiest life, I’m eager to share any way that makes it easier to do so. In my personal experience, the simplest and most effective way to plan ahead is by using a daily planner. Yes, a physical, paper planner, not my phone or computer. These are just a few ways planning ahead with my Peacock Paper daily planner helps me stay on track and take care of myself:
- Plan appointments, meetings, and other commitments.
- Track my monthly budget.
- Organize my monthly, weekly, and daily to-do lists.
- Plan my weekly meals and grocery list.
Without a daily planner to help keep my head on straight, my attempts at living a healthy lifestyle would be much, much more challenging. If you’re at all like me and struggle to make time for your health, I would encourage you to show Peacock Paper some love and check out their daily planners. My Peacock Paper daily planner is easily the best paper planner I’ve ever used. I would highly recommend it to anyone who desires a more structured, organized, and prepared day-to-day. Their daily planners are not only extremely helpful and efficient, but also high-quality and pretty to look at. Just peep the photos of my personal planner, below!
