Isn’t it funny how the weather effects our mood? I’m the opposite of most. The chilly, cool air makes my heart so happy. I enjoy the warm, summer days, too, but not like I love the Fall.
I’m sitting here trying to figure out why. Why do I love the Fall so much? I think it has to do with traditions. I’m a total sucker for traditions and this time of year, the traditions start rollin’.
Pumpkin patches. Football games and tailgates. Cozy-ing up by the fireplace. This is just the start of traditions before we hit Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Growing up, traditions in my family often involved food, which I’m sure comes as no surprise to you. For example, homemade chili reminds me of watching football games on Sunday with the fam bam. Once football season hit this year, there was no denying my craving for a batch of creamy, hearty chili with all the goods. I’m talking a big ol’ bowl of this healthy chili, paired with Cornbread Muffins and Oktoberfest beer. Now, that is my kind of tradition.
