10 Minute Buffalo Chicken Tenders are a protein-packed, delicious, easy recipe for lunch or dinner. Add tenders between your favorite gluten free buns or on top of a green salad!
Confession time: this recipe initially started as buffalo chicken patties. However, when I tested the recipe for the first time, I ended up with a mushy chicken mess. Bleh. And, ewh. When making patties, whether beef, turkey, or chicken, I really prefer to not add any filler ingredients, like flours, bread crumbs, etc. Well, as it turns out, you need those ingredients to hold buffalo chicken patties together, due to the extra liquid from the buffalo sauce. Fail.
Instead, I decided to make 10 Minute Buffalo Chicken Tenders because they’ve been a go-to for B and I lately. And, I know y’all are always looking for quick, easy, healthy recipes. Well, it doesn’t get much quicker than a 10 minute recipe or easier than only using 2(ish) ingredients!
What You Need to Make 10 Minute Buffalo Chicken Tenders
Air Fryer
My air fryer is the bees-knees. I absolutely love it. It cuts the cooking time for almost food (meat, veggie, potato, etc) in half, or less. So, the only way to make this 10 minute recipe in actually 10 minutes is by using an air fryer. This is the air fryer I have and love!
Chicken Tenders
I like to buy the chicken tenders from the grocery store. However, if you can’t find the “tenders,” you can easily slice chicken breasts into tender-like shapes. The only downside is that this 10 minute recipe will turn into a 20 minute recipe. But, if you ask me, that’s still pretty speedy!
Buffalo Sauce
The New Primal Mild Buffalo sauce has quickly become my favorite sauce. It’s made with few ingredients- all of which are good for you, like: olive oil, vinegar, cayenne pepper, and tapioca. I find it at Sprouts, but you can also order it on Amazon, here.
Cooking Method
These directions couldn’t be simpler:
- Place your chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Season with sea salt and garlic powder, if desired (recommended, but not necessary).
- Fry for 5 minutes, flip, and fry for 5 more minutes.
- Transfer the tenders to a plate or bowl. Generously coat with the buffalo sauce.
- Serve warm!
