Sunday’s are my cooking days. After church, lunch, and grocery shopping with Blake, I do my best to set aside a couple hours in the afternoon to work on new recipes and prepare meals for the week ahead.
Creating new recipes is my creative outlet. I enjoy the trial and error that comes with creating and cooking never-before-made recipes. I’m always learning something new. Blake may beg to differ. But, he’s a champ and eats my burnt garlic bread and gooey orange chicken, anyways. (Note: these recipes are NOT on the blog, so you’re safe.)
Even though the cool, crisp air of the Fall season is just beginning to hit Texas, my taste buds have been craving the tastes of Fall for the past several weeks. This Cali girl is ready for pumpkin, squash, and apple cider the second the calendar changes to October.
Needless to say, this weekend I was craving something hearty and warm. A dish that was made for this time of year.
Squash. Sausage. Skillet.
Sounds pretty Fall-esque to me.
This recipe is perfect for meal prepping or hosting a group of people (feel free to double the recipe). It’s fulfilling, healthy, and has all the flavors of Fall. Time to dig in!
